Western Cattle Source, owned by Jock and Brenda Beeson, is a ranching operation located in western Nebraska that specializes in producing high-quality Semenal and Angus cattle. With 28 years of experience, the Beesons have built a reputation for raising robust, performance-driven cattle that excel in commercial and registered settings. Their upcoming annual production sale on March 20, 2025, will feature 79 bulls and several female offerings. The bull selection includes age advantage and yearling bulls from multiple sires, emphasizing structural soundness, growth potential, and balanced genetics. Key bull bloodlines include Trifecta, Journeyman, and Ransom, with a focus on cattle that can cover large pastures and perform under challenging conditions. The female offerings include bred heifers and pairs, highlighted by a set of reserve champion females from the National Western Stock Show. These females come from proven donor cows and are expected to calve around the sale date, providing immediate value to potential buyers. Jock Beeson emphasizes their breeding philosophy of creating balanced, structurally correct cattle that perform across different environments. Their approach prioritizes maintaining good structure and mobility, preserving eye appeal, keeping consistent marbling and rib eye sizes, ensuring low birth weights and good calving ease, and producing bulls that are muscular but not overly fat. The sale will be conducted through DVAuction with Chisholm Peterson as the auctioneer. Buyers can receive discounts for purchasing multiple bulls, with rates ranging from 3% to 10%. Bulls will be held until April 15th free of charge, and the entire sale will take place in their indoor arena to ensure comfort regardless of weather conditions. As an added bonus, the Beesons will also offer quarter horses from their breeding program, adding diversity to their sale offerings.
